There was a guy on the HAMB years ago, he did some serious metalwork, maybe on the west coast ?
One car he was working on, was (IIRC) a mid 70's Firebird. The part that sticks in my mind was he used LARGE prewar headlights tucked in behind the grill opening.

Anyone remember the car, and his name ? I think he fell off the end of the earth.

Edit: he was selling Duvall style windshields, and other aluminum castings, at one point.

His user name was just one word.

Something tells me, it wasn't Tim Conder.

Might have been, I remember Sellers got banned.
Still looking for the car with the "goofy" headlights.

Maybe it was Conder ? Sounds like something he would do.

I can't imagine a thread about a 1970's firebird surviving without being deleted?

He posted something, on topic, the car I am thinking of
was in the background, under construction.

He did mention the headlights, they looked prewar.
Someone must have asked about them.

I want to do a photoshop with that idea, into something pre 65.
The idea sounds insane, until you see it.

  7. Tim Conder was working on a pro touring Firebird called "Project Blackbird" several years ago, it did have big '33 Ford headlights. I don't know if it was ever finished, but I remember seeing it on his IG. He seems to have fallen off the internet.
