  2. That top is looking great. Do the Roadsters and RPUs take the same top?

The Buick drums are a fantastic detail on a fenderless car!

From reading the instructions, this was a universal kit for all roadsters from 28-31, but I'm not using original top irons, so it's been a challenge.

Stock RPU's have a different (fixed) top with a different profile than a stock roadster.

I tried to put my brother's car irons on my pick up, and found the car is much longer then the truck top. I did not get to looking at how it would fit at the body, because my brother won't let me cut them down to fit.

You're right, a roadster is longer inside than a stock length RPU.

That’s why I cut nearly 4” off the front of top frame.

IMG_2787.jpeg This piece has to be trimmed off to get the back window where I want it. My upholstery guy has ordered the thread, May get this done today.

  14. I don't think so, I like it. Possibly a darker yellow brown stain and less gloss for a more weathered appearance to match the one on the back of the cab. Probably too late with the top already installed but painting the bright metal black would also help.

Yes, after being in the LOUVER shop for 8 months, they decided their press wasn't capable of doing it.

75314619750__C4CFD6CF-538A-42BB-8DFB-F49A2CFA1395.jpeg New electric SW speedometer, installed, will finish wiring this weekend. Mechanical was always 11 mph slow, T5 that I installed last year is electric sensor, so it hasn't worked at all for a year.
