  4. mid 1930s French Delahaye was a see-through steering wheel and horn button. I actually had one of these wheels that was a little rough. After light sanding it came out good enough to use again. The one in the photo is not mine. Second one is a typical late 40s early 50s British one that was found on more than one make of car. Light switch in the centre.

    My RPU. Custom hub made to fit the 9 bolt pattern to the stock steering column.

    The second one is a Ford Mk1 Zephyr made between 1950 and 1956.

    Over the last 6 years or so, my area of Wisconsin has lost a bunch of local junkyards, old places that had old cars in them. I've been lucky enough to get into most of them, some of which were actively crushing out and there was little time to save what could be saved, and I pulled and bought a shitload of steering wheels in that time. I sold off some, but I saved the ones I liked best and hung them in my garage rafters.
