Hello Everyone ! I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Holly Ansman, I go by HotRod Holly and live in the San Diego area. I drive a 1956 Chevy Pick-Up I call Lil' Bubba and he's very recognizable with a Hawaiian lei design painted and a tailgate that reads Chevrolei. (artwork by Mark Lueck). Lil' Bubba and I have had so many wonderful adventures in the 26 years I've owned him thanks to my mechanic Colin aka Lumpy 63. I have driven it as far as San Diego to Chicago and back for a Route 66 road trip. Not to mention all over California. I've had so many awesome adventures thanks to my truck. We were winners of My Ride Rules in 2011 (season 1, episode 5 Flower Meets Power). Lil' Bubba was in two of the Jay Leno Garage commercials, on Wrench Wars, had a Hot Wheels replica made of him, taken a drive out to Trona Pinnacles, was mentioned in a Swedish magazine, an image of coverage of GoodGuys Del Mar in a Japanese magazine, was just recently in a little article in The Wall Street Journal. Oh gosh way too much to mention, and as you can tell by my writing, my mind is all over the place ~ I also currently have a 1968 Camaro Convertible I'm working on. I have had several classics in the past. I've owned two 1964 Ford Thunderbirds, one of which was my very first car with a 428 motor. I had a 1960 Coupe DeVille, a 1960 Chevy Pick-Up, a 1963 Chevy Pick-Up, the shell of a 1953 Chevy Pick-Up that I unfortunately never got a chance to get on the road. A 1972 El Camino, and a 1971 El Camino that had a lot of rust, but was a true 454SS Now after all that, rambling I'd like to add that I have been fortunate enough to have a mechanic friend like Colin aka Lumpy 63 for the last 26 years who has given me the opportunity to work on my vehicles alongside him, but other than that, I always say my love is greater than my knowledge. Honks~n~Kisses HotRod Holly
