I just discovered the show on Ruko TV with Ian Roussel the fabricator dude....... So far I can watch it. Most these car shows are horrible and a clown act for TV

I must live in a closet cause its been on since 2015 I think

  2. I like watching him. I like most of the stuff he does, little off the wall ;)

I like the guy, although it helps if you realize he is more of an artist than a fabricator.

I enjoy the show, but can't help wondering how much mud gets troweled on to the metal under finish paint.

That’s cool you own it , I was just going by memory, someone gave me the dvd , and I thought he was cool because he built stuff with what he has, nowadays you have to have a super rare setup of traditional parts and check all the boxes and spend more money than the streetroders did when the traditional scene started , it’s all a mess, you gotta budget 70-80k to have a “ traditional “ rod/ custom “ to be cool LOL

Yeah , he chopped the top on a Packard and said he had 2 gallons of bondo just on the top of the roof :D

I stayed awake watching several episodes last night till 2:00 in the morning at least :D

  14. He's moved into bigger digs with AC.... I haven't seen a post with his shop "inspectors" yet. I see him as a genuine guy, he does more with a 1/4 of the equipment than others have.

  15. I don't particularly like some of his builds, but he doesn't seem to be afraid to try something different. As a previous person said, no drama, no BS deadlines, and working alone he doesn't fire anybody every week.

He builds some wild stuff with basic tools and a unique vision. Originally from Massachusetts too

The "Shop Inspectors" are the highlight of the show for Hank.

I prefer his you tube channel (Full Custom Ian) over the tv shows. he even redid one of the tv cars and ratted out some of the tv magic and is in the process of making it an actual drivable vehicle. he is moving his shop from his house to the Mojave air and space port. he is like me has more than a few car builds at the same time going.

I like his show and many of his builds.
Wifey calls him ‘The boring guy”, Lol and asked why he builds in so many different shops.

I Can only answer ‘Artistic Vision’.

I talked to him first part of August at a car show in Washington. Asked about getting my 52 Dodge in for a chop. Said he was real busy right now, I was thinking more after the 1st of the year. Said to contact him via PM through his Facebook page. I think he was moving his operation to the Mojave Spaceport. I’d imagine those hangers can be pretty cool.

As others have noted, I don't care for everything he builds but he is watchable. Just building things without all the stupid drama.

pretty sure he's the guy that built a chopped 49 - 52 Chevrolet here on the Hamb many moons ago. it was like a purpley-maroon as I recall.

I could be wrong though, I was wrong once before.

Off the wall style for sure. Also amazing talent using basic tools and a simple approach to build full kustom cars.
I like that he repurposes everything possible.

  30. I watch when I happen to notice he's on.
Seems like a decent guy with vision and talent, doing things his way....good for him.
If he was my neighbor, I'd probably make a nuisance of myself hanging around.
