Event Coverage Tyrods show 2024

Amazing as always. Way over 1000 cars and trucks at this one today. Could have taken way more photos but was too busy talking. . . .

 

I grew up in a 65 Falcon wagon so this was pretty special to see today

Thanks for the pictures. It brings back memories for me as I used to go to the Ty-rods meet when I lived in Connecticut. It was good to see Buddy George's coupe as well as the restoration project done by Paul Aldrich. I miss them both. Also good pictures of Ronnie San Giovanni ( Ronnie Roadster ) and his wife Laura standing next to Larry Hook's roadster. What I miss about New England is the people and the car events.

 

Nick, definitely missed seeing you and your roadster this year.
Coming to this event today shows that we have some serious shit here in the northeast, the hobby is still very strong.

You folks are quicker than me

Arrived there about 9:45 to find the field pretty full and many people milling around.

Always a good selection of cars at this event. Genius that I am, I arrived to find my phone pretty much uncharged. Let’s see if I gave photos of cars others might have missed.

 

As noted above, many nice cars and even better, many nice people.
Interesting that I saw a number of ‘51 Mercurys but don’t recall seeing a ‘49 or ‘50.
There were a number of orphans as well.

 

No shortage of pre 49 cars in attendance I see.

Always an impressive show. I was disappointed show ends at 4:00, everyone packs up and heads out at 1:30 and they still charge you $10.00 to get in as a spectator.

real question. Any information on the channeled and sectioned coupe. There has to be some history on it somewhere
