  1. This looks like some of the welds I saw on the space vehicles over at the Space and Rocket Center here in Huntsville. I don't know if they were robotic or by a person, but NASA stuff had some beautiful welding on their equipment.

  5. Seems like an appropriate response to seeing all those broken springs.

That is why I have an AFR (Air-Fuel Ratio) gauge permanently installed on my dash...

    Russ

p.s. I turn 80 years old this month - I never was able to "Master" the art of tuning carburetors - However, the AFR gauge tells me when I an "Totally off the map". ;)

These are the lessons that can only be learned and applied through someone else's experience.

Nearing 76 and one carb in one car is being semi obnoxious, I may do the gauge.

It reminds me of the old joke where one man tells another he'd eat him alive. The reply, "If you did you'd have more brains in your stomach that you would in your head." It was Nevada politicians probably not a full serving between them. Certainly not 25 cents worth.

When I taught my class to reduce fractions I'd put from 1/16 to 16/16 on the chalk board and start reducing the even numerators by 2. At some point some kid who was usually not the best math student would shout out, " Hey, Those are wrench sizes!" From then on it made sense, at least to him. If I could teach one kid one thing a day they would use from then on I was OK. More was better but one was success.

  27. I've met way too many people who apparently purchased those two-bit brains.
