Technical Northern California shop that punches louvers?

    Hello,

I'm in Sacramento and I did a search before this post on anyone in the general Sacramento/San Francisco area that punches louvers. The couple posts were old enough to where the folks listed don't seem to be around anymore, or at least are not responding to messages.

I need a row of 3" louvers punched on each side of the dragster body. Already made a die, but with the million other things going on, if I can just have someone punch them it would take a whole area of problem solving off the table.

If anyone knows of a shop/person within a three hour radius of Sacramento that can do that job, I'd appreciate their contact info.

    Thanks!
    Dean

My son, Marcus can punch 3" louvers. It's not something he likes to do normally because layout and the time it takes to do it takes so long it's hard to charge for it, particularly on something like a 40 Ford hood, but he'd probably be willing to do aluminum dragster body panels. His shop is New Metal Coachworks, located in Windsor (6 miles from Santa Rosa). His phone is 707-888-2797.

All the ones that I am aware of have already been mentioned.

If you take them to Windsor and like IPA's, be sure to hit Russian River Brewing for a Pliny the Elder or two or three! That place is beer heaven. Good food too.

    Kinda like Tom Prufer's dragster:

Thanks! A number of Northern California dragsters had louvers in the early-mid-60s, so it is kind of a tribute to that as well.
