how you hold it to steady to weld onto the broken bolt?

 

Good idea. I have taped a nut into a box end wrench to solve a similar hard to reach hole.

I have some small very strong magnets that fit into sockets or I attach to a screwdriver so it holds the fastener.

 

I stopped for gas one day with my wife and 3-year-old son. When I came back in the truck my son was holding his thumb in his mouth and crying. I first thought my wife hit him for misbehaving or something and asked him what happened? I looked at his thumb and it smelled burnt with black soot on it. He pointed to the cigarette lighter socket that was missing the lighter.

 

On our dirt car this is ok…….. both ends are tapered..

Bud Light gaskets are for trannys, not carbs.
