I don't have a picture but when I was 16 and had my first hot rod I went to a local "speed shop" to buy some parts. It was just a guy who had a steel shop that built race engines on a small plot in the middle of a medium sized city near my hometown. I saw an older convertible sitting out back and it was in pretty nice shape. After getting to know the guy I started asking about the car. He bought it new back in 67 and I first saw it in 1981. He told me it needed engine work and had all the parts to fix it but just hadn't had time to get at it. I asked if I could look at it and he took me out to see it. It was a 67 Belvedere GTX coverable with a 426 hemi, 4 speed car. He told me someone stole the emblems off it. The car was complete otherwise and only had 60k on it. The gr*** and weeds were growing up around it.
I haven't been there in about ten years but the last time I was there it was still sitting in the same spot. The weeds turned into trees growing up around it. Such a shame to see it fossilize and slowly sink into the landscape. I'd be willing to bet it's still there.

I've got a TON of pics, mostly just fuzzy drive-bys, but sometimes I get to stop and do some good photos.....Random car spotting is a big past time of mine.....I'll try to keep the ones I post here in the pre-'65 range, but I have a ****-ton of muscle and pickups from the '60s-'70s too.
