American Racing Equipment wheels look perfect on just about any vehicle except maybe a bicycle.

    Your Impala looks fantastic!
Like you I wanted a set for mine from the day I bought 15 years ago.
Finally got them last year and couldn't be happier.

  10. I don't do tattoos......
but if I ever did one it would probably be a Torq Thrust wheel.

That opening post is a calendar shot, no doubt about it.

Did you get the wheels/tires online? Happy with the vendor?

Yup. "Wheels and Tires for Less". Free shipping, mounted, balanced, lug nuts (they sent two packages of those) everything for less than I could have bought them locally.

Thank you, we were spared any damage whatsoever, save the pineapple plant I had stuck in the ground when a pineapple went bad on the counter. The heavy fruit on the little stalk toppled over in the wind. Oh well, I will try again when I let the next one spoil before we can eat it...

That is the look the "older guys" with a good job would have had in the mid 60's when I was in high school or trade school.
The son of a local Chevy dealer drove year old Impalas with 409 and 4 speed in the 60's Always with a stance and some extra horse power but his sister could outdrive him in them.
Your car has that look from the late 60's nailed.

A little update on the Impala: A week ago I had the center section of the rear axle swapped from the 4.11 Posi to an open 3.36. I had it done as I'm still pretty gimpy from the left hip replacement. The difference in drivability is everything I expected, well worth the expense. (So, if anyone wants a 4.11 posi for a '55-'64 Chevy or Corvette, I can hook you up. ;))
Today while waiting for photos of our Sarasota home from neighbors after the second hurricane in two weeks, there I got the Newport wiper motor installed, fixed the turn signal mechanism behind the wheel, and was rewarded with the news that our home came through unscathed aside from a limb from the neighbors stupid Mango tree denting our eavestrough. Who'd think having the eye of a Cat. 3 hurricane passes directly overhead would be the best possible outcome? No flooding. No (well, minor) tree damage. No windows blown out in 100+ mph winds. Super happy all around with todays news.
Oh, and the Newport wiper conversion is the bomb. I may step up for an intermittent switch, but they work great as is. The turn signal switch is a goofy set up, monkey motion cam behind the wheel with a tiny cable to the switch mounted at the base of the column. I was tempted to just get a new column but this worked OK. 2FD2632E-20DC-4F9B-A151-DDDED4B1BC26.jpeg

Great news, boy, I was thinking about you when the news broke that Sarasota was going to be in a hurt, wasn't sure you had trekked south yet.
Better buy a lottery ticket Brian!

Right? I'm on the fence about taking the roadster down now, but I know I'll miss it come January...
