Its on a 32 ford, the motor's a 55 lincoln continental mark II. This bracket has me scratching my head. At first I though, generator bracket but its only 3.5"-4" (depending on if clamped shut or open). Any help is appreciated.

Fan bracket? Too low to be a gun sight.

It's not from a stock Lincoln engine.

most likely a bracket to hold a fan mount, such as the front of an old generator. So the fan will be up in the center of the radiator, instead of down low where it would be in the original 50s Lincoln car

Oh yeah, that I know, just trying to figure out what the plan was by the original builder. This car has been in storage since '61.

It's a really cool car with lots of local history from the original builder and local drag legend.
It's not mine, I'm just getting it road worthy for the Lucky Bastard that bought it from the original builders family.

Maybe that would explain why there was a ford flathead fan inside the car...
