My engine choice for the '26 Tudor was cemented after a local auction yesterday. Picked up some vintage SBC parts. That and the engine I started to work with a bit over ten years ago, we know have a plan. The Hemi will have to wait.

The valve covers are Cal Custom I beleive, and the intake is stock aluminum from back in the day. Moon timing cover and finned oil pan. I also got a front engine mount. Banner day for sure.

Those camel hump heads? Also, intake has WCFB bolt pattern? Check that pan out. They were prone to cracking.

The heads are 461 with the X casting. I built my brother a 327 for his '69 Camaro back around 1980-81. He let his friend use the car and he blew up the engine, as best as we can remember. Anyway, they were under the workbench 10+ years ago and he said I could use them. They are machined for 194 intakes currently. They are in decent shape and I will probably send them out to get all new parts and redone. I know there are 100+ complanies making sbc heads for cheap that will outperform these, but these have nastalgia and family history. And, will work great with my new manifold. And, I am aware of the intake carb bolt pattern. The pan looks good, but I will check it out. Not a game stopper if I don't use that. Thanks.

Use what ya got. Easy to do a crate, takes skill to use the old stuff. I’d run the pan as long as the car isn’t low to the ground.

  11. Exact intake I want for my 283. And if you peek at my avatar you know I dig the look of your engine lol
