Lionel Hampton played the Marimbaphone.
The thing about Vegas in the 50's and 60's was the entertainment was first class. Even the lounge acts were first class. Lionel Hampton was probably a lounge act.
I know I saw him in Reno at Harrahs in the lounge late 60's.

Say what you want about the mob. They knew how to entertain you while they picked your pocket. No one forced people to go there.
A certain someone talks about price gouging. They should look at the entertainment industry and parking concessions.
