These cars weren't hot rods or customs yet, but I bet many of them were later in life. From the pages of Special Interest Autos, April 1985, a fascinating mix of marques.
Interesting. They were and still are just cars to a lot of folks, just not us. I am sure many of those were "repurposed!" LOL Thanks for posting!
I love these old 'on the street" pictures of cars. I see several cars I would like to get my hands on!
Always fun to see cars like this "in the wild" from years ago when they still saw regular usage. Hope that the bath tub '51 Nash somehow managed to survive.
When I see old photo's, I'm always checking the rides in the background (probably like must of use here). Great stuff Don, thank you!
The '57 Courier shot. sporting vintage painted on sign-writing, & a view of the rear door in it's open position, is one of my favorites.. Great group of photos captured for posterity.
Those were the days, I bought a 57 Bel Aire two door post for $250, nice car roll and pleat interior, chrome wheels and a bad transmission. Rebuilt the trans and was driving it when I met my wife, traded it for a 64 Impala SS in 1969. Would be nice to have either of them now but a lot of cars since.
