My 1970 Blazer was $2500 "out the door". My first new car! It is still in the yard but needs some TLC.

Either that or he was following a road train full of cattle. Best to leave a couple of car lengths behind those. Don't ask me how I know

    Cheers,

My brother and I had most of those dragsters, only the ARMY one thumbnail (30).jpg survived over the last 40+ years...

I went to college and my mom gave all my models to my younger cousins, her younger sister's kids. Mom thought they were toys and they thought they were hockey pucks.

I had one similar to that connecting rod in my front yard. Very stout, and heavy as well.

I'd hate to have to balance 8 of those!

Sigh… the good old days, when Repco made serious go-fast gear for local engines. There are not enough of us Down Under to support that kind of engineering effort, but the stuff they did was cool. I have one of their I6 crossflow heads to run in the FED.

    cheers,
    Harv

I wish I had done more of this before my shop became the home of the home of so many disassembled components surrounded by piles of unmarked bolts, washers, & nuts. :(
