Hello, From the time our dad stopped here for lunch way back in his 49 Buick Roadmaster, we have been impressed with this location from 1950 to 1967 when my wife and I started our journeys up the coast for our explorations of the California coastline beyond Santa Barbara. We have gone to this spot many times, had a nice dinner in the first year and many dinners in the post family days of our Westcoast touring vacations and photo shoots. As little kids, we did not take into account the vast views and the sandy/rocky beach below. We were tired and hungry from the long road trip up the coast as a family of 4. So, the restaurant and the views from our table were the best we had seen in any location. The lunch was outstanding and we did not want to leave there as it was a fabulous place. Jnaki Over the years, the view has changed like all coastal locations in this area. But, the restaurant is also closed. There have been many stories about a big corporation coming in and refurbishing the restaurant high on the cliff top over looking the rocky sand below. At night, the large white water waves crash on the rocks and it looks ominous. But, time will tell as the structure is still there and there are tons of stories about the place. So, we shall wait and see. Note: The last time we were there was before the pandemic. The road outside is so bad that it made us continue our road trip down the hill and continue along the coastal roads to a different restaurant. There are crazy drivers coming around the curve and most are out of control due to the instant view, the restaurant size and the downward slope of the highway. All combined, it is not a place one wants to be driving at night let alone in the bright sunny daytime. YRMV
