From the November 1957 Hot Rod. I ripped these pages out of the magazine in the late 60's. Dreams of a young boy
Great looking car, Man I don't know what happened to it, I did grab my copy though. Let’s find it! No room at my place though, someone else is going to have to be the hero
oh man... no. cars on lifts don't get used enough... I already have 10 cars licensed and insured and it is a bitch trying to see that they all get used enough so they don't turn to mush.....
I’ve mentioned it before, but I could make room to free one up. Take it out here and there to stretch its legs a bit. Consider it a standing offer of my generosity
Bill died in 2016 and Phyllis(wife) died in 2020. they did talk about the blue heaven in his obit so who knows maybe it is still around? I guess if i was seriously interested/looking for it i would look up the son(Shaun) or daughter(Tiffany) and see what they still remember would be my first step. Both kids seem pretty easy to find online.
too bad Paul Savelesky isn't around anymore otherwise them both having custom cars from the same area around the same time frame I bet they knew each other. For the ones that don't know that is Mark's car Miss Elegance was Paul's
Im sure I could find room in my garage for that orange 56 drop top, or the blue 55 to give you some space, lol.
About them not getting used enough. How often do you take the boat out? The covers look like V drive but the controls look more like jet boat. Could be pre 64 but thinking it might be OT. Asking for a friend as they can be more fun than a garage full of cars they won’t let you run all out.
It is a Vdrive.... 74 Rayson craft LP flat bottom. Has a 396 BBC with a cross ram.... And man it is the most fun you can have with a steering wheel in your hand
I have a few myself. The blower for my 51 came from my Biesmeyer V drive. I also have a 63 Guasti and a Litchfield. Maybe we can pull them to a meet by a lake or river and play some time.
Looking at your garage... looking at my garage... How, in heavens name do you keep that so clean? I wipe off my tools, I sweep it regularly, and it's still a... a, dusty, mess. Plus it's a couple of thousand square feet smaller!
You'd be surprised the difference just a painted/epoxied floor makes, that and a proper installed ceiling.
I have 2 garages, one that I work in and one for just parking in. also as stated above painted floors and a sheetrocked ceiling all help. even still. I go thru there about once a week and dust the cars. and annually in the spring everything gets run outside and the floor gets mopped and cobwebs knocked down here is the thread from this last spring https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/annual-spring-garage-cleaning-day.1316523/
