Technical Rear diff

    Have a problem getting axle in on one side p case Chevy. have carrier out. It was a rebuilt one. I guess he did not align before tightening

    can't you just put a pipe wrench on the axle and twist it that amt.?

    Okay, exactly what the hell are you working on? I'm guessing 57/64 Chevy posi rear end but vague descriptions get less than stellar answers.

    expanding it and looking at it I'm thinking you are going to have to somehow lock down the off side axle and lock down the pinion and turn the outer spline to match the inner spline.
    That doesn't look like what I recognize as posi clutches for a Chevy rear end though. Screenshot (1531).png Screenshot (1529).png

    Ok 57 Chevy. P case rear diff. Posi unit. 55/64. Shirt axle. Sorry
