Projects 1936 ford

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by 1949daveplymouth, Nov 17, 2024.

  1. I have a lot of work to do on my ford this winter. I need to cut the floor out and replace it and fix some other rust some structural inside the car. Over all it’s in good shape.upgrade some brake components. They are juiced brakes already. It runs horrible so hopefully I can get that issue fixed so next spring I can drive the old girl around. Any input or mistakes you made and wanted to change please let me know

You didn’t answer in the other thread, but what did the carburetor cleaning entail?

  3. I thought I did. Anyway I took it all apart soaked it and cleaned everything and got a gasket kit and put it back together

If you are doing structural repairs and replacing the floor make sure to weld in some temporary bracing to hold everything in place before you start cutting.

  7. Good to know I will do that. I also have to fix spots in the frame someone cut it out to run the exhaust threw it so a few supports have big holes cut it them
