Just don't let them after your chickens. I have caught a few and figured out they were the ones killing them... Or, better yet, don't get chickens.
Oh, you know we will have chickens....I am thinking of getting a couple of German Shepherds to run the place. I used to raise them, but kinda got out of it.
Why am i not getting notifications/updates on this awesome thread? What, do I have to buy an electric car/truck to be cool now?
Or you just go up to the top of any page and click on "watch thread". Aren't EVs are part of DEI? I thought that $#!T died a couple weeks ago...so @NoSurf don't buy an EV. I know we won't get rid of EVs, but can we at least get those POSs out of the military? (I digress...)
I check the HAMB pretty much every day. And I do have notifications ON for this thread. It seems sometimes the threads that are multiple pages, i don't get notified. No worries. Carry on.
Man that stained concrete came out great ! Alot of our neighbors have chickens. We just watched a coyote jump the fence in stride with one in his mouth awhile back. A regular 4 foot fence won't even slow them down. I've heard Donkeys will keep them at bay... Not sure if that's fact. But I've noticed alot of folks getting those mini donkeys too.
I have heard that as well. I don't wanna hafta feed another hay burner. I used to have horses, no more. I'm not even sure about a big dog. Big dogs can tear up some crap.
I don't want to hear how you can't go on hotrod trips because you can't find anyone to take care of your chickens....
Try an electric fence about 14” off the ground. I rented some pasture once . The owner lived in the middle of the place . They had chickens and ducks . They had an electric fence around it . Never lost any ducks or chickens until the power went off
I can say that we don't seem to have a coyote problem since we have a horse and a goat. But, seems to me that the coyote problem would help the overpopulation of birds problem... lol
