My last rant, I am thankful he helped but it sure stressed me.
We have to carry it about 50 ft so I suggest he gets inside and carry it, so he can see where he's going, heck there's no bed floor in it.
No, I'm fine, naturally he stumbled a couple times going backwards and then proceeds to head right towards the 41 ugh .....
I have a short video but it shows an off topic front rim as a roller, you should hear the audio lol, here's a screenshot

I quit giving my rattle can marbles to the grandkids when they had them lost within minutes. My collection sits in a gl*** jar on a shelf over where I'm sitting right now. There are probably 50 marbles in that jar and probably 50 cans that I need to harvest the marbles from. Sadly, no red ones yet.

Didn't you know that these statements/questions are in the wife's handbook? They all say these things. It's in their job description.

    Anthony,

You know, don't you, that it will show up shortly after you buy the replacement. OR as you're cleaning under your bench.

Yeah. That's what I couldn't find the other day. So I went out and bought two of them. Next time I went to the shop I found the three that were missing.

68 year old black paint still on the frame, something you'd never see on a NY vehicle

Have I ever told you guys how much I hate dealing with spirolocks? I spent the last 2 hours removing the old Pontiac pistons off the Rods...... It didn't help that I burned the **** outa my thumb helping Gordie with the ch***is boxingo_O 20241120_172722.jpg

Slowly chipping away at sorting the garage back into something that looks orderly. Made it to the tire shop today to swap out rear tires onto another set of wheels with a 1/2” deeper back space.

Stupid is as stupid does.....I am a welder by trade, I should be smart enough not to grab an area that was just welded. My next door neighbor heard several choice words.

I'm usually chanting (to myself) "it doesn't have to be red to be hot" "it doesn't have to be red to be hot" "it doesn't have to be red to be hot" as I touch or pick up something hot with no gloves on.

  18. The burnt thumb reminds me of the little kid that wandered into the blacksmith shop just as the smithy tossed the still-hot horseshoe he'd been working on to the side.
The kid picked it up and promptly dropped it on the ground.
The smithy says "Pretty hot, huh?"
The kid says "Nope, just doesn't take me long to look at a horseshoe!"

Thanks folks... I'll be here all week. Don't forget to tip your waitress!

The old maintenance mechanic/welder at the dairy I worked at after I got out of the Army used to say "heavy isn't it" whenever someone (usually me) picked up a hot part and immediately dropped it. Miss ya, Tony.

Another version of this is at the drag races between rounds someone picking up a hot clutch disk which was thrown on the ground.

We ALL have those stories about picking up something that is hot (that we often just made hot).
Well, except for me....I've never done anything dumb like that before....

(I almost didn't make it through typing that last line before I started laughing.)

Cut down a late 50s Ford pickup 9 inch for for Gordies model A . As usual pickup rear ends tend to be worked hard and slightly bent...We put my jig through it and decided it was a too much to weld the ends on. Some of you may recognize the name Bob Mayer.. he is a race car ch***is builder from way back and is still at it. We took the housing to him and he had it straightened out in no time. Also got to hear some really great vintage drag racing stories:D IMG_20241121_185118.jpg IMG_20241121_185111.jpg

Messing with gauge layout. I think this is where I’m going with some minor tweaks. IMG_5467.jpeg IMG_5466.jpeg IMG_5465.jpeg
