  2. Nice story, time marches on. The truck has come through time relatively unscathed, I guess the thirty year slumber helped with that. I wouldn’t hesitate to make some changes…

Briz is awesome, I'm pretty sure he knows everyone in this area. HAHA I live down the road from him, my best friend is his family Mark is his uncle. And also my dad and uncle have know the Briz brother's for many years.

On this truck, that is a pretty sweet truck. Looks like it was very well cared for

How about that Cobra CB and that driving computer?? Moving the seat back is the next priority. There was 6 inches back there being used by old speakers and an amp.

When I went to look at the pickup for the first time ( in years) the building it was in was crammed full of two lifetimes of , everything. I offered to clean out the scrap iron. That turned into selling everything from an early '70's 454 to old furniture. With the help of four good friends it took a month. Yesterday I took the big envelope full of receipts for dump fees , scrap iron sales and just selling stuff up to my friends house. We're sitting in the living room talking and my friend gets up and walks out of the room. I was afraid he was upset that everything of his was gone. Wrong. He walks back in and hands me this box. " This is yours, you better use it." He explained he'd always wanted a posi in his truck and he wants me to make it happen. I offered to pay, he said no. With his health going bad he was afraid he'd forget to give it to me. He seemed relieved when I got up to leave. What a day...

Good on both your friend and his wife for realizing what may be coming down the road for them, and ensuring the truck got into the hands of someone who appreciates it. I love that it wasn't upgraded during the Billet Era, and while some of the features may be old hat now, they can still be appreciated when put into the context of the '70s and '80s. Drive it and enjoy it.

That's the plan! I'm currently installing a 2 post lift in my shop so I can start in on this little truck! Brakes , engine condition and more in my future. I can't wait to get started! Hopefully I'll get to take my buddy for a ride this fall.

Now Tim, you need to listen to some CW McCall music, to get the jargon down. Are you going to PIR this Wed ?
Opening night, and the Slo Poks are the featured club. I plan on going in the blue TR.

Those Driving Computers are entertainment all on their own - & are useful as well. :) .
I don't know if the little white ball in the fuel-flow sensor will live w/todays' "gas", but I replaced one w/an aluminum ball & it worked fine. Haven't used it for a long time, as the OT rig it was in is also doa currently, due to fuel tank issues. Hope it still works for you. :) .

So, an update is long overdue on this project to get the pickup back on the road again. Life has really gotten in the way of progress! Through the spring and summer I was making great progress, until September. I got rear ended hard while I stopped at a cross walk. Five days later my wife had a scheduled surgery and everything is going great. Two weeks later I come up with a health issue which isn't resolved yet. Hopefully two more months of treatment and I'll be done with that. Then on Monday ( this week) I get a text. The long time care taker ( 60 plus years) of this '32 pickup won't be around when I get it going again, this is going to be a sad Thanksgiving for his friends and family. Screenshot_20241126_203902_Messages.jpg I neglected to mention, Arvo's wife has been his sole caregiver for the last six years or so. She did everything she could to keep him at home, and it was hard on her. I can't say enough good about her. We should all be so fortunate.

Met Arvo at Thursday night lodge in Kelso back in 1971. It was an Animal House version of hot rodding in the Longview-Kelso area up until the place burned down in the late 80's.

Man, I hate to hear that Arvo is in that condition. Praying for his family and friends this Thanksgiving.
