Had lots of thoughts of color. When I got to go actually buy the paint, I just said black. Happy I did. Eastwood single stage. Make sure to use reducer. Only five years old, and 60,000 miles, but looks as good, maybe better than when first done. IMG_1376.JPG

Hope I don't get in trouble posting my Austin, but it's early enough to look closer to an Anglia than later Austins did.
I loved many of the old gassers, and always have. When I had mine painted I wanted something that looked period correct and I went with 1974 Corvette Dark Red Metallic #74. It's got a lot of gold metallic in it and just sparkles in the sun, or under bright lights at night.
Hard to tell in this pic:

This one shows the metallic better:

    Looks great.

    So much depends upon

    I vote Petty Blue !
(I'm a Ford guy but LOVE that shade of blue. Once had a Falcon Sprint painted that color)

I’d be all over the candy red orange and yellow colors over several bace colors and ranging from silver to black pearl or flake. You can panel paint with bace or color or both. You could use the red from your other car and then panel paint this one with the candy colors.
