Me too? me 3? me 6? I seldom post but I do follow all 3 of your threads. This one is way above my head, but it lets me live vicariously through your exploits.

  2. This is the first time out of the shop after two weeks. It's hard to tell how it's going to really look inside the shop. I will raise it up one inch for a little more room for tire growth.
Sunday it goes to the painter. Monday i will drop the tubs off to be powder coated. 20241122_104945.jpg 20241122_104955.jpg 20241122_105016.jpg 20241122_105022.jpg 20241122_104924.jpg 20241122_104945.jpg 20241122_104955.jpg 20241122_105016.jpg 20241122_105022.jpg 20241122_104924.jpg I took the blower off so I can service it again while the cars away. I will also put
the spare trans together. Someone said it's the off season. I don't think I got that memo.

  8. I don't think I want to go 230mph in this car. We will see how it goes. Still no wing.
The car will look much different when the paint work is done. I think it will look lower.

  9. The entire ignition was sent out for servicing. They found a bad wire connector that most likely was the problem. It was causing a intermittent short. They also found a cracked shaft at the key way. The bearings they said were kind of crunchy. The rotor was rebuilt as it was suspect. Everything was plugged in and tested. Its ready to go. Going like crazy here. April is coming soon. 20241120_150816.jpg 20241120_150949.jpg

How much will those tires grow ? Not sure another inch will be enough, then again, what do I know ? Will you be running solid struts or coil-overs in the rear ?

  12. The extra inch is in addition to the already 2.5 inches. It's hard to see in the pics.

I know your car weighs probably 1500# more than the Tramp, but Bryan went 5.98 @ 240 without a wing. I have faith you could do it too if you felt safe doing it.

While everyone is looking to the sky for Santa in a red sled he’s really on the ground in a green rocket! Looks like it should be ready for deliveries in time :)

    looking good man

  21. It should be done this weekend.
The blower was shipped back to Littlefield. When I took it apart the gear lube looked like it was silver metallic slime. Something is not happy. It's going in for a full service. New strips; seals; timing reset etc.

Your body and paint guy is pretty good, knocking it out, no nonsense.
Glad you’re still updating the thread, we found you.

  23. There's no fooling around. I surround myself with talented guys that get things done. We all have a common goal getting this car to Dallas in April. We have about 130 days but who's counting.

  24. The only way to complete a large and complicated project on time is to make a schedule, know your days, prioritize your tasks, and understand your critical path items.

  25. It's all about proper planning and execution. We have a plan. We are executing it. We also have the weather to deal with. Cold and snow in south east wisconsin are on the way. I will have to remove the water from the trailer as a huge cold front comes this weekend. The trailer is kept in my heated shop so normally there isn't a issue.

  26. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. My holiday tradition is different from most. I'm usually on emergency call on the holiday. I can't count on being around to have a big turkey dinner. So for the last 30 plus years I have a pizza and pie. No stress. No clean up. Screenshot_20241105_123348_Photos.jpg
