Hey guys wondering if anyone can help me out -- my band is in the middle of getting our CD put together and I am looking for some cool old car accident photos -- nothing to graphic -- you know the cool old black and white ones.
    Any help is appreciated.

Go to Chevybombs.com and look for a thread in the forums called "sadness" There's a bunch of them in there. One I like in particular where an AD pickup truck is totally squashed under a train, it's a sweet pic.

Edit: Keep in mind that pictures are property that belong to people and you really need to get permission to use a picture on an album.

I started a thread about this a few years ago. The link to the car crash book is in the original post. The book is called 'Car crashes and other sad stories', published by Taschen. All large b&w vintage wreck photos, very little gore.

There's also a few photos posted in that thread.

I hope this is what your looking for. I found this on line at the Winfield High School, Winfield, KS. web site. There are other cool pictures there from 1958.

For some reason I'm gettin a case of the red x's on the Chevybombs page -- lotsa cool pics and links thanks guys.
No need to worry about me stealing an image the upright bass player in the band is a graphic designer by trade and he is always sure to get the proper permission and such before he does anything -- I wouldnt want someone ripping off our songs and see the photos and art in the same way.

Any more info on this? Looks like a fatality but from what I can read of the story the driver had non life threatening injuries. Lucky guy!

  22. The kid in the model A roadster is the son of a friend of mine. He made out ok in the accident. He and his passenger survived. The A was a hiboy with hemi power. His Dad has a blown flathead powered 32 2-door tub. This pic is of a 48 coupe that hit a moose, also in BC. He survived as well and used the chassis from this one to build a nice 41 ford business coupe after he swapped bodies. Pat.

I posted these before,.... This was Bob Vivian's A-V8 summer 1954 after being hit the night before by a drunk passing on a hill from a oncoming lane, 9 Mi. Rd. Farmington Mi.

This 1932 3W coupe photo was originally posted here on the HAMB by someone else a while back. I believe it was TOMMY but I am not positive ... I do remember the poster saying that the coupe has been rebuilt and looks like nothing ever happened.

Is there anyone else who took driver's ed in the late '50s-early '60s that had to sit through "Signal 30"? It was supposed to scare us into being good drivers.

In a similar vein, the book Car Crashes & Other Sad Stories is filled with vintage images of car accidents, some of them gory. I paged through it long ago, and IIRC the images were taken by newspaper photographers in the 1950s?

I had to watch that in drivers Ed in the 1980’s.
