  1. Who all received their approval email for the 2025 GATR and what are you taking?
Its my first time going and we are coming from Maryland. I will be taking my '32 "coupester" built by my grandfather in 1958. My wife is even looking forward to it...LOL 20241020_075919.jpg

Been there 3 times, entered to first 2 times, missed the entry last year but enjoyed the show anyway. This year I decided to do the same thing only skip the park on Sat. I'll go down Thursday morning, spend Thursday evening and Friday looking at the cars and head home Saturday morning. I have no idea how it'll go next year since apparently the Hilton is no longer headquarters? May restrict non entered cars next year from getting close to the action as we have in previous years?

I haven’t seen any official mention of the host hotel changing but I would assume it will be the new casino which has more than enough parking plus indoor entertainment spaces. If anything this should serve as an upgrade.

We stayed at the Osage Casino this year, might not have been the headquarters, but there were a bunch of cars and folks there. Spent the evening in the parking lot, looking at cars and talking to people! Had a great time!

Anyone know the dates for 2025?

I heard that they had 650 registered by Monday. I registered Dec 1 at 10:00 am. Been accepted every year but, never know this year.

Aaaaand registration is closed lol. That was just as quick as last year. Over whelmed by the number of submissions to sort threw they closed registration to stop and go through them all.

a few years ago they had 250 cars in the show, and last year I think they opened it up to closer to 400. I’m sure they have nearly a thousand cars to go through and pick 400 out of now.

Doh! You are correct. The only reason I thought to send registration is because of some friends. And, that obviously didn’t translate to the people I needed to tell.

Not entering honestly has nothing to do with you coming down though.

I got my acceptance email. I'm paid. Now I'll push it there if I have to!
Great show. Even better than I was told. Went as a spectator this year (2024)
Even if you don't get to register, GO, it's totally worth it! Rivals the old LARS.
Great venue. Nice town. A lot like the rod runs when I was a kid. See you there!

  20. I'm wondering why they don't have more room for more cars? Seems like a huge place. Someone who's been please tell me.

They just don’t want a show with 8 trillion cars. They want to keep it smaller. That’s all

  22. Looking at the cars that have been there in the past, its more like quality than quantity.. I would rather see nice well thought out and built Hot Rod's and Customs displayed with spaced between them... It's on my list of shows to attend..

Bucket list show. My Bucket is starting to overflow. I may try attending next year without registering.

They were almost to capacity at the park last year. I took the 32 pickup but did not have an entry so had to park in the pasture. My complaint was the people they had hired to park spectators did not recognize a handicap sticker and there were spots in the hard surface spectator lot. May be when you reach my age your supposed to be in a care home not building and driving hot rods?

  27. Well you better come out anyways with the 36. You can hang with Gregg and I Rob. Reliability Run is open to you Rob. Life’s short. Figure out a way to get that coupe out to Okie. Rent a trailer if ya have to.

Absolutely! The parties and runs are open to all. The show itself is only a small part of the weekend fun truthfully.
