Event Coverage Donuts/Cars, Eggs/Planes, Tire Shop/More Cars and A Banana Split

Started out at 6:30 am for…

Then off to Breakfast via Route 66 at Cable Airport.
Then east some more up 66 to finally have the 57’s photo taken here…
Then east some more on 66 to a tire shops car event.
This guy rolled along side for a while.
Finally heading west now going towards home on 66 we stopped a Legends in Glendora for a…

 

Since you were on 66, you should have swung by Union Station and you could have named this Planes, Trains and Automobiles.....and a Banana Split. Great pics.

North of the train station taco’s to be had at Mitla Cafe opened in 1937 on 66. This is where Glen “Bell” stole the taco recipe.
Very first Taco Bell opened 1962 Downey Ca. the city I live in.

 

Very Cool.

 

You gotta love days like this.

After breakfast
From the inland to the sea. San Pedro below Fort MacArthur.
Old Port of Los Angeles Customs building. It’s said by my father that he had to come here to pick belongings that he crated in 1 meter square crate when he and mom came to the states from Belgium in 1958.
This one. Well how could I resist?
Called up a friend @Moriarity for a meet up.
Time slipped by so fast it was dark before we knew it.
