49-50 Chevy sedans have been a part of our growing up days. Our cousin’s mom drove a 4 door Chevy as a daily driver and we grew up playing inside of the sedan. We pretended to drive to unknown destinations, shifting the transmission, and adjusting everything, so we fit (sort of) in the sedan. We stayed there until one or more of our parents came outside and told us to get out and go play in the backyard.

So, when I see a 49-50 Chevy sedan, it takes me back to our old Westside of Long Beach neighborhood that we lived and played for about, 45 years.

Since it is now in the thick of the holiday season, a red 1949-50 Chevy sedan seemed appropriate. The project started a couple of weeks ago, when my wife and I saw an old sedan cruising down the road. A slight lowered rake was shown, so, my version got the same treatment… low and slow…YRMV

“He (still) sees you!”

 

One of my small hobbies to keep me busy is I like to collect and "restore" valve covers. Set of Cadillacs I ended up using on an engine instead of hanging on the wall after I was done with them. Had to metal finish out a few spots where a pushrod had attempted to leave the scene of the crime.

 

One of my customers gave me some of his old enamel wall art for Xmas. Here's a couple today I'll save more for next week
