Moving to Orange County 1n 1957, living a few miles from @jnaki's future wife, we always had something to do that was free, like Knott's Berry Farm, Laguna Lake, and so on. Then came the Buena Park Mall and other expansions. Wilsey Dairy was gone. Beach Blvd was no longer a eucalyptus tree lined street and was now a paved parking lot most of the time. I suppose that its progress, but it's fun to remember the old days.
Belknap was the largest Hdwe/retailer in the US. Blue Grass was their top end tool brand. Humana Corp. bought them in the ‘80s for the real estate & put them out of business. We were a dealer for them for many years. Had the biggest paper catalog you ever saw. About 2’ thick. Had anything you could imagine. Still sold all the traditional Hdwe from way back until the end.
