a better title for this would be "tall tires all 4 corners"

My OT Model A has 325's on all four corners.

The wheels are big, they are 20 x 11.

Some people would call that "Small wheels all 4 corners."

a 6.00x16 front tire pairs well with a 7.50x16 on the rear on a fenderless car.
only reason to go smaller on the front is when you need to tuck the tire under a fender.

Some don't have the why of things ;),,small size up front = less weight = less force EZer to control, bump an wiggle.+ < Was not a style thing really as much as how things work well ,with straight axle.
Bigger in rear is mostly about bite=better bite is faster take off. a +
Very little looks as foolish as small rear tires with V8.... { Rear tire should be at lest or more ,as big as could be had the year your V8 came out new. > not less.:D Talking wide = bite,,; but hight for higher speed too.

Seeing guys fail to understand the way of stuff, often is disappointing, when they seem to be car guys in other ways :(

My thoughts about taller rear tires is that they came from racing. Giving up some acceleration at the start for more speed at the end. I know that years ago, racing a limited sportsman, we had a set of tall rear tires for Friday night on the 1/2 mile and a set of short rears for Sat. night on the 3/8 mile.

Yep, better than changing gears if the class doesn't allow QC.

    You're not alone, @ALLDONE
I wasn't sure I'd like it. But it's something that I've been thinking about and wondering about but hadn't seen any examples of. So I appreciate you bringing up the subject and sharing some pics.
I like it... for a number of reasons. And I'm pretty well versed as far as the "why fors". But I've actually never been a big fan of extra small tires on the front, even though I know they're considered to be standard hot rod fare. It turns me off when I see an extreme case of "big and littles". Seems totally unnecessary to me. A flawed design concept, even. Both aesthetically and functionally.
But it became popular. So now everybody thinks they have to do it.

I like the looks of that, but those front tires and an iron hemi, bet it drove like a dump truck.
