The '34 grille is almost 3" deeper (sides) than a '32 and the '34 has provisions (holes) for a stainless trim band around the bars. The grille on your Vicky is definitely a '32. Also, Early 1930 Vickys didn't have a slant windshield.

Post some photos of the sunvisor, and how it was attached, they never left the factory with one.

That one has the slant windshield Also note that it has two rather than three door hinges.

As for the coupe/sedan Ford listed them as the Victoria Coupe.

I believe that commercial headlights had painted buckets and car ones were stainless steel.

I don't wanna do much to this vicky, right now I just wanna check every thing for road worthiness suspension- wiring, brakes and such...it has new tires and wheels...the may stop brakes I'm sure is that they aren't adjusted properly... probley 39-40 juice... but they don't stop much.... I have the same set up on my 31 more door and they work great...I have never drove it past 1 gear... so who know if it a 31 or 39 trans... pretty spooky when you don't know the car...I starts and runs, electric 6 volt fuel pump feeding a down draft stromberg... burns manifold with a b dist...

my opinion,... the car has a lot of character .... it's got reverse eye springs and seem to set just about right for the era...the new firestone big whites is a money saving add being already done...

Good catch on the 2 hinges...yep, a Slantwidow.

Here's some pics of some Slantwindow sedans (same cowl as a Vicky) WITH visors. Not sure if it was a Ford factory option, or an aftermarket accessory.

All '31 Fords except the Victoria, Cabriolet and the Slantwindow Fordor...which all use the so called "slantwindow" cowl.

  23. I've heard the Victoria referred to as a two seat coupe.

My reference book. "Henry's Lady" has a lot of very old photos. There are no examples of slant windshield A's with a visor in the book.

The guys on the Ford Barn would probably know.

  27. Incidentally, the 1931 Victoria was built for Ford by the Murray Corporation of America. HRP

so, when I got this car...it started right up, it was at night and the brother says,... turn on the lights.... guy says nothing,.. were walking around looking at the car...and the brother says.... turn on the lights.... ...guys wife comes out and he says shes the money lady... go inside and she'll count it out with you, and will load the car on the trailer..I was in a hurry to get back on the road..so that works for me

so I get the thing home.... start it up... and head off the trailer... hit the brakes nothing headed towards hitting my truck so cut the power w/ it in R... and it stopped before hitting the truck... while that was going on I noticed the steering.... more than 1/2 a turn before it did anything...so parked it there and went inside...

IT SURE HELPS TO KNOW WTF YOU'RE DOING WHEN WORKING ON THESE MODEL A's

so my first battle,,,, making it stop.. I figured the brakes were way out of adjustment... got a floor jack and raise the front wheels... while under there I see all kinds of new stuff.... they must have just done the juice brakes... spin the wheel , one flat of a turn and the wheel stops..., go to the other side..... same thing... go to the rear brakes..... same.....head scratch time... I know, the master needs fluid or the peddle is out of adjustment.... so gotta take the floor out...., now I see there is no adjustment on the peddle side.. the rod is welded both ends.... head scratch... gotta get under the car... so jack it up and jack stands...
