Buick and Olds in 1958 was a design staff tragedy. [IMG]

  3. Any French car ever made has a weirdness factor that's off the charts!
It's like they kept all their automotive designers and stylists in total isolation so they couldn't see what the rest of the Solar System was doing.
    .....*?**......
Come to think of it..... I'm pretty sure the entire population of France is from a different planet.

I’m sorry but I think all European designed cars are ugly.

  6. "All" is a strong statement.
I won't trouble you with a list of all legendary European car designs but let me say this:
there is a reason why the most expensive and sought after classic cars are European and not US, even among US collectors.

  8. The above could be topic for a new thread :oops::rolleyes::D . Anyhow, i would be quite happy with a 1953 Ford Flathead powered Comete by Facel-Vega:cool::cool: or their later hemi powered coupes.

However- if Ford had used the beautiful roof line from the previous 2 years, I think it woud have a success.

  16. I’d drive that in a heartbeat. Just because it’s ugly doesn’t mean it’s not interesting. The ‘61 DeSoto is a very rare car.

  17. The DeSoto also had a really wild looking dash.
Mopars around that time had some really neat dashes.

They sold the Dodge's with Plymouth bodys in Sweden to.
Here they where called Dodge Kingsway.
Its not many of them left here. Most of them have been scrapped over the years.
Most of them was 4 door with flathead six and 3 speed manual.
The majority of the cars was taxis when they where new.

I'm laughing so hard here think I'm going to cough up a lung...........I too hate french car designs to the point that if I ever win LottoMax I'm going to buy acres of Citroens/Peugeots/Renaults and a D7 dozer, then proceed to repeatedly drive forwards and backwards over them. Just for sheer sport...........
