I'm only familiar with the 3000...6cyl? BTW, they even sound sweet. First I had a bugeye and then an MGB. One morning on my way to work, every wire in the Bugeye burned to the insulation ...EVERY WIRE. The MGB went through clutches for no apparent reason until I found the problem. By then I'd had it. The MGB problem was the pilot shaft bushing in the crank was worn.
Bader and Ferrera in their Crossley Altered Hello, During our lunch hour or breaks between the racing in class activities, we took a short time walking around the whole pits area to see who was who and what they brought that particular week. It was a Saturday thing to do, as we were there from early morning to late at night. Then we would sit in the stands and I would film the racers we knew from Long Beach and the top favorites in the other classes. With the small 16mm movie camera, they came out nicely after a week later and the development was shown on our movie screen at home. We were able to record on film, the Bader and Ferrera (blown Cadillac motor) in their Crossley Altered at Lion’s Dragstrip in the 59-60 season. Usually, the Reath Automotive Altered sedan gets the jump on the opponent. Someone must have been sleeping at the line. It was Bader and Ferrera all of the way to the finish. Altered sedans at their best at Lions Dragstrip. YRMV Jnaki It looks like the Reath Automotive Model A Altered sedan starts to pull up on the Crossley, but the Bader/Ferrera Altered won this time.
