Technical Flathead Era Rear Axles

    How many different rear axle housings are there in the 1932 to 1948 era? I'll start by asking what years this one was in when new. Are some better than others do the internals swap with all housings? DSCF3330.JPG DSCF3329.JPG DSCF3334.JPG

    That one is a late 32 through 34.

    THANK YOU! I think I have around six pair of different year trumpets. Once I can ID the years they will hit the classifieds. I've almost got the cost of a major purchase covered.

    You´r correct. These parts are from 1932 V8 -> 1934.
    Center section width is needed.
    Driveshaft mounting flange is "gingerbread".

    4cylinder/early 1932 flange is round. And of course pinion bearings are different....

    You might get Vern Tardel's book on the Ford banjo, I think he covered all of them with photos, assembly and the tools, good little book really.
