Always felt any tailight bezel could be backed with most any hand fabricated stainless- steel design imagined, & held in place by the stainless bezel to mimic something similar yet departed from the likes of the 35 Pontiac, DeSoto etc.

Those 35 Pontiac tailights are nearing extinction and priced accordingly, wish I had found them for my roadster but took the cheap and easy route.

I don’t dislike the ‘32 tail light, but the stock stands appear to be too long, hanging out to far! I chopped 3/4” in length and tucked 3/4” In width. 88D23FB0-5908-4DE0-B51C-60BBE6804527.jpeg 0B0AAE1D-2251-4EC0-8A6A-C7FA9C219758.jpeg

  8. I would like to add a stainless strip on top but haven’t figured out what would work.

  10. '39 teardrops are a classic look, although perhaps over-utilized. I still love 'em. 20151126_0923432_zpsuspeggab.jpg

I've been collecting Desoto tail lights a piece at a time for awhile and I've got them on three of my cars so I thought I'd mount the others on a board in my shop until I eventually use them. The set of Airflow tail lights on the right end have some goofy looking vase added to them for some unknown reason. I figure that I'l cut that off and put them back like they should be if and when I ever get around to using them
The second picture has some other items that I've come up with over the years that I had thought they might make good candidates for custom tail lights too. The smaller set is a pair of custom made heavy brass horn grills for a 36 Ford that a gentleman had made for his car but sold the car without them and later he sold them to me. I don't know what the other two pairs are but I thought they might make good candidates for tail lights or something else someday.

Anyone know what @Pete ended up using on his car? After all it's 8 years since he asked the question so surely his car is finished and on the road now.
