Was doing some paperwork when some trash blew in my shop and I could see It was some pictures or something. Picked it up and it was a piece of film like for a projector it looks like. Turns out it's got a picture of a forty ford and some other Cars behind it. No clue where it came from. 20250113_121010.jpg 20250113_121027.jpg 20250113_121104.jpg 20250113_121121.jpg

Your Wedding? Okay not your wedding but any car buffs in your vicinity? Looks like it was destined for landfill...and its really low. The scenery suggests its pretty old unless the street was cleared of newer vehicles...

It has those wedding poofys on it...I think. I see your in California the Mecca of Hotrod /Custom perhaps a development of a frame may shed some more detail to help identify...Imagine if that coupe is squirrelled away in a garage near you...

Don't know much about motion picture film but I suppose it could be a piece of film from a shoot especially since they are shot in a chain of frames so close together. I had a Hawkeye camera and it had film like that but I notice the frames have rounded corners...my film was squared off.

Paging @jnaki is this just 35mm camera film shot in rapid shuttering or is it motion related...any idea of age from the look of the film? Thanks in advance...;)

That looks just like the car used in the 1995 movie "Mi Familia", there was a wedding scene in the movie too

Looks like movie film from one of those talkies that everyone is raving about.

  16. It's a mystery.
It could be a coincidence that it's a chunk of film of a vehicle type and approximate vintage that you are personally and actively involved with. But how likely is that?
I'm wondering if you may have had a visitor in the last month or so who shares your passion for the same era of custom vehicles and the film scrap fell out of whatever car the visitor was driving. (?)
Or?....... it could be a very coincidental coincidence.

So in a little over an hour find random film piece to finding the movie it came from. Impressive!

Out of curiosity, how close are you to the nearest wildfire area? And is the wind blowing from there toward you?

That's friggen crazy but there's every chance that this may have been related to that devastation...sad

No need its a movie...hopefully there's no death at the original place of departure...they say things are replaceable but there was a lot of loss that is ongoing including lives.

It almost looks singed...there were tornadoes in that fire stuff...

Perhaps there were films stored in an archive and it was destroyed. If it is from that it sure is coincidental it should fall into a car guys presence...you can well imagine whats been destroyed in that devastation.

So I guess these Cars were rented or possibly purchased for the movie...I wonder if anyone here owns that Merc. There was a nice chopped 50 or 51 Merc that showed up at the wedding...cool Custom but they weren't there for the festivities...
