Howza Bruthas- I have been watching, reading, and listening to reports of the devastation caused in the fires in So-Cal. I have never met a bunch of you, but, maybe some of our online brethren have. Check in and state you are safe and okay. I hope nothing but the best and safety for all of you.
I'm sure there will be more, but I can say Johnny Agnew of Funk Junk Farms and his wife lost everything in the Altadena fires. Luckily his T was at Lucky Burtons. But all his cool trailers, the house, all the funky junk. Gone. Hopefully we don't have to add to many more to the list. Stay safe guys
Super big drag. Johnny is a super nice dude. No one deserves this. But he double doesn't deserve this.
I'm closer to east of Culver City. We are all good. Air quality is crap. Sometimes it smells like inhaling brake cleaner a bit. I'm masking up while outside again. We do have a little canyon just south of us but there is a big mall in the way. it is a drag about Funkyjunk. He and his family are safe and that's what matters. We all have plenty of junk to pass him when the time comes.
The fire got very close on Tuesday. The wind was unbelievable. The power went out for a day and a half. Fire was right up against the Rose Bowl which saved our bacon. The fires moved East, good for us but bad for the people in Pasadena, Altadena and parts East took a big hit. Beautiful homes, all gone along the foothills.
I live about an hour east of where the most of the fires were so cal Edison turned my power off I believe it was Wednesday evening and it did not come back on until the early hours on Tuesday. Other than some lost food and a $900 chinese generator expense and a super huge annoyance of no power. On one of the news channels I was watching I definitely saw some hot rods and classic cars that were been burned up. I hope everyone is well.
Three friends from my car club lost their homes; one lost the O/T convertible he owned for 50 years. Anyone know if the old service station at 2012 North Lake in Altadena made it through? The Eaton fire map shows it's right on the bottom edge of the fire area. https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/2012-N-Lake-Ave-Altadena-CA/29289348/
