Take a good look at that blue 32 shared above. For a glass car, its half decent! Still has the look you're after but on a 32 frame and built right or at least appears to be. Glass cars arent really my thing unless they're out of this world customs like beatnik bandit and even still...I like lookin at em more than workin on em. Just my 2c

I decided to take everyone's advice, talked to the owner, cool guy. Just does not want to deal with people wasting his time.

But I am going local and going to check this out now.

That's kinda like that saying put a thrill between your legs...Buy a Harley...In the case of that Fiat it would be Put a Thrill under your Ass!!...:p That'd be a Hairy Canary...

You seem a bit "scattered" in your automotive interests.

I guess that depends on your definition or roadworthy. 489/400, 9 inch 4.11's and a spool. He says it drives good on the street, Brodix heads and a 1050 dominator.

I'm not up on these things but I guess you want a wild thing for Sundays and not for 100+ mile trips to carshows...and the Streetworthy high stepping race type inspirations are less practical for the more Stock chassis Hotrods.

  12. Let me make a suggestion, you seem to have the money burning a hole in your pocket and jumping around different cars, decide what you really want and don't get in a hurry, the right car will come along and you will be happy you waited.

BTW, it wouldn't hurt to fill out your profile and let us know where you are, there are thousands of Hambers out there and someone may live near by and know what's for sale locally. HRP

To be fair to the OP I've been firing random stuff into this Thread and the others have been helping him think heavy about ditching the original Post subject...but at 24k a snotty turn key deuce ain't gonna happen.

An old friend who has been successfully dealing cars for the last 60 years once told me : "Don't be in a hurry to buy, because there's always somebody in a hurry to sell; Don't be in a hurry to sell, because there's always somebody in a hurry to buy". He's retired now, a multi-millionaire with a fabulous car collection and extensive real estate holdings in at least three states.

He also told me once :"For every extra dollar you spend wisely on the front end of a purchase, you will make up ten-fold on the back end". (I threw that one in for free.)

Eventually wife will find a way to keep me from buying anything. She is worn down at this point. And I have a list of 10 cars and only 1 garage. I have a 06 BMW Z4 roadster 3.0Si to daily so this would be a toy and dude dropped the price when when it was time to convince the wife...

The local car shows are 10 miles away. I am 6 ft 275 and the Topolino will need a shorter steering column and tilt. Pedals are not easy to get to either. But a 33 Willy's would be the same, Anglia the same. A 40 Willy's gasser is $40k unless it's a project. 55 Chevys are not cheap either set up gasser style and right. The price is right on this. And it's local.

And it's $2k+ to ship in an enclosed trailer and the dealer was still trying to get their 35% commission on $4+. They have to make a living but not off me.

Man, you need to slow down and thoroughly investigate things before diving head first into the deep end of the pool.
That 25 Grand is burning a hole in your pocket.
Have someone help in the area to go look at it before you just Willie- Nilley take it.
You just joined today and have 50 posts already and bought about 6 cars without buying 1.
At this post pace you'll catch up to HoTRodPrimer's post count in about a week.
I know you're excited to be here and welcome, we're here to help, but slow down.

Oh and we don't talk about new daily driver shit of any kind.
If you haven't read the rules yet - take some time to.
    Thanks,

I deleted your motorcycle pic. We focus on 1965 and older cars built in the style popular in 1965 and before. You can read the rules here

Traditional Hot Rods and Custom Cars prior to 1965 is the specifics on the main board.

No muscle cars, no VW's, No Big Wheels, No Rat Rods on the main board.

We have a Off Topic Area for those.....

You know the Grand National Roadster Show is coming up at the end of the month. There will be a ton of coverage on here with all kinds of photos and commentary. It might be a good idea to take some time and look at all the photos and maybe decide what kind of car you really like and would like to purchase in the future. It's the one show every year that Ryan and the moderators on here let a few things slide if the car in question does not fit into the traditional scheme of things so you will see a little bit of everything. I know I will be glued on here looking at all the great photos.

I have completed a few inspections for buyers on old Harleys and Hot Rods that where for sale in my area for buyers from across the country . Some buyers are completely stupid with me , others were very pleased with my results . My last line of the inspection detail was “ please fly in and view it yourself , if you remain interested after my inspection . “ I offered to pick them up and transport them to the viewing site , also.

I’m picky mechanical SOB when I’m a viewing for a buyer . I have seen lots of polished turds on the outside sold at big auction sites . It’s buyer a buyer beware world . There are many sellers that do not know or care to build correctly just to make a buck .
