Hello ALL!!! I am the NEW Caretaker/Preservationist/Owner Of Dick Roys 32 5W coupe ,(303/HYDRO OLDs) built in 1956 in Windsor Ontario CANADA....Dick Roy (d.2016) was still building up until his passing... This car was built in his one car barn with a dirt floor and was a SHOW car until 1968 when it was put away... Pulled out around 2006 and a couple owners and another 10 yr storage its in MY SHOP NOW!!!! Welcome any and all input... I WILL be adding more PHOTOs to this thread as i decide what to do and ENJOY it with you all... It was no VIRGIN to the CHOP and Cut and LEAD and BRAZE!! having been a 5W then a Roadster, then a Truck roof, then back to a 5W as it is now... Thats alot of work on a Mill job and raising kids... Lets enjoy and share what you know...Im gonna post the youtube video from 2014 when it was up for sale in the SNOW of Michigan.... Screenshot_20250113_232206_Facebook.jpg PEPPERSHAKER step uncle BOYD CULPEPPER.jpg I grew up in my uncles shop and around his 33 3W that he raced early 70s... I wanted the LAST car he built, this cute little 31 deluxe with a flatty and overdrive etc.. But DICKIES coupe kept calling on me...And as an AVID Corvette restorer and shop owner i had to have the DEUCE...All the history and the crazy MODs that Dick wasnt skeerd to do!!!!

Priceless, you are so deserving of this blast from the past... Joey this look albeit they are all uniquely different was pretty popular back then... @Kid Rocker is reviving one right now...

I kinda dig the goofy frontend. It matches well with the rear and I would run it until the urge to change back to the traditional panels was too great.

Amazing that car could go through all those transformations and still survive!
    Love it.

And it doesn't look like it's been cut on that many times and versions either.

That is a cool freaking car. And fairly local to me too.

YES SIR!!! It made it thru 50 years sitting inside.....68-2006 and 2014-2024.... of course it was inside in the middle while having some work done 06-14...lol so that's almost 60 yrs and maybe less than 5 miles if that....

Yes it is pretty amazing that all that happened in 56-68 when it was put away....I cant fathom the hours in the barn and working in the mill as a painter... its cold AF in Canada..lol

I DO LOVE the goofy grill too..but I also like the 32 shell.. IF IGOT this correct, the goofy duck tail was cut off and he didn't finish the rear fenderwork.. Or it was done when the quarters were repaired around 2006ish... thank you
