IMHO 'roadworthy'and 'spool' are mutually exclusive. Way back when a brother of a friend welded the spiders in a '58 Impala. 900 miles later Dad and I sold him tires to replace his 'slicks'.
A spool/locked rear end is OK only if you don't turn corners.

That is the plan dont do anything that cant be undone. I want the push gas start to work andc William said I go mess with something other than stock and it might not work. I was thinking pull the original exhaust and running dual exhaust and flowmaster 40's.

Wife was going to "let me" get the Topo as it was my Challenger b4 getting married but she is in love w the Buick, happy wife happy life.....she is a car nut.

The 401's were in Ivos 4 wheel drive exhibtion car, 4 of them lol......and were popular til the new 60's stuff came along and were forgotten, but the old BOP axles can handle a lot of abuse.

From what I remember from my '50 Special, the "gas pedal start" has a lot more to do with the linkage than the carburetor.

Copy that on full image. I know about the different variations but was confused at to what this car came with and options. The Specials only came with 264's in 55. 56 had the 322 but i like the 55's better.

No appologies neccesary, I thought it came with the 324 as an option and it did not.

There were other considerations and time constraints that put the focus on finding something sooner than later. But it is odd how some things go down. Like this being so close. My crazy aunt had a 55 and 57 4 door hardtops sitting in the mud in the early 80's in front of her then abandoned house in Bartlet, TX, as like I said she was goofy from the get go. She was a Buick girl from the beginning. Family stories are dad was postmaster general in Bartlet. He brought her home a new 27 ish Chevy which she was not impressed with. Drove it through the farm and messed it up and went home and told dad "now go get me my Buick!!!"

And yes knowing what you are looking at as even honest sellers dont always know what they have.

Mine has the 264 with the 322 being in everything w 4 ports, but the 322 is a direct bolt in, only diff being the larger bore. And probably a different cam and appx 9:1 comp vs 8:5 on the 264. If the info I dug up is correct.

We do Santa and Mrs Clause for H.E.L.P. AZ. Non profit to help foster kids with presents, Santa (me) and Mrs. Clause (Jen) and our 2 elf helpers go to their house and drop off all their presents. The kids were so excited and it was so cool. 1 family of kids, 3, 5, 6 or 7 all in foster care had their 1st Christmas ever.

I could not get Lemmy to load up as the 1st version was not a jpeg so i went with billy bob.
Seen Lemmy 4 times late 90's early 2000's. That man was immortal for a while. Fuctioning meth head and Jack guy with a propensity for black strippers and collector but not sympathizer of Nazi memoriabilia....

Thats what I asked dude and he said it did not chirp, maybe the Topo does not weigh enough? I
just could not fit in the tiny thing. Was thinking WW2 bomber seats and the airplane steering wheel.....but the brake pedal was to the left of the steering column and I am not sure I could have hit the brakes in an emergency..... or worse be pressing with my left foot on the brakes and the right foot on the go pedal and not slowing down. Has a full cage but its still seems like it would hurt w 600HP the wimpy tires that would would not stop jack....

I dont know and at $16k I did not care if it had the original motor in it. Could have had a 350 in it and would have bought it.

You know, when there are good intentions behind it then you just got to go with it. Now if its all a joke and not everyone is in on it then yeah...
