Since I no longer participate in social media i.e. FB, instagram etc I thought I would post a few pics of my -48 Chevy coupe “my last build” for anyone that might find it interesting. I bought this project a few years back with the chop already done, the fenders molded to the body and a pancaked hood so part of the heavy lifting was done.
I understand that however staying active keeps ya young, love your car and I’m anticipating the finished product. Dan
I'm in my mid 70's and told my wife that my 30 Sport Coupe was my last build and got bored and bought a 29 Roadster Pickup to tinker with. Was a running car but had so many problems that it came apart to the bare frame and is going back together with a slightly hopped up banger. I'll probably have my "last build" in the garage when I die and my kid will have to get rid of whatever it happens to be.
I bought the car without seeing it in person, which I previously told myself not to do again (so much for that). I’m not sure it would have mattered or that I would have noticed the bent frame and the crocked installation of the MII. Started to fill holes in the firewall, and found a replacement frame. I never had a bagged car before and since this is the direction I took, the floor had to be modified to fit the more aggressive C-notch
Looking around my shop looks like I have 8 last projects. Do you know Keven Hickman? Nice chop & coupe!
East coast of Michigan. Definitely not a C-notch. Didn't even seem right to call it a step-notch. So step hoop. Maybe hoop notch. U-hoops? Nah, that sounds like Minnie Pearl calling us for lunch.
