The first thing I can think of is a "Ford Nut" with 3 or 4 "V" shaped grooves filed in it. The second is an application of JB Weld. The third is one of thes after re-tapping the carb body. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/GATG492300404
Depending on the model of the carb, wouldn't it be easier to just find another carb body? These things are still around and except for some specific models, not that hard to find or expensive.
One of the carb experts on The Ford Barn says : "The threads are 3/8-24. It's not a tapered pipe thread."
1/2” x 20 tpi what Charlie shows in the video above is what someone showed me years ago and what I have done, just hard to find the fittings down here. The benefit is that you are not continuously disturbing the original thread.
