A more common name for that machine is a drag line. I once saw one of those on a freeway project. The bucket was big enough to park 2 pickups side by side in it. The machine wasn't hydraulic. The house/cab with the machinery had catwalks inside. It required an operator and an oiler. They brought it by rail. One flat car had one track, another flatcar had the other. The cab was on another and the boom was on another. The bucket on yet another.
