20250223_145310.jpg Got the Jeep master fit up on the Tempest, had to elongate the holes on the master on the mill . A dual master is tight on these so I had to slightly dent the inner fender. Bent up all the lines and bled the brakes:cool: Disregard the screws in the firewall they are for tunnel mock up.

Also scoping out the fiber glass parts I have acquired for my 61 Biscayne. The steel parts from my car will go to this one.

  6. My cousin had a '64 Cutlass convertible, same color, back in the mid-sixties. It was an absolutely beautiful car. By the early '70s she had traded it in on a newer car, but soon regretted that. I still think the early to mid-sixties were a great era for American vehicles regardless of brand. Just well-designed, well-built vehicles that no longer rusted out quickly and were more durable than cars built before or after that era.

right now I'm thinking keeping it pretty docile
lower the compression to about 8.5:1, hydraulic cam, slight overbore and balance.
but who knows, this will likely take a year or two and plans can change..

  11. This pan amd timing cover was on the mock up engine in my Merc
    IMG_5059.jpeg IMG_5060.jpeg
looks like my timing cover is chewed up
    It’s from a 67 293. Works with the 6 inch dampener.
    IMG_5061.jpeg
I’ve got an earlier 283 with the small hub.
    With matching timing cover
I’ll probably find a new cover for the 6 inch dampener

  15. These lifters came with the 283 we’re building.

My 28a ,T-bird Y powered ,over heated bad coming home sunday, took long time to find a place to stop and cool off/add water. I ordered a new rad.and made a long list of stuff to check for damage from over 240+. I had added stop leak last week for a small drip. So know of tiny hole that seemed fixed [ was not leaking when checked ]< maybe I fooled my self. Fill in later with up dates.

  18. Not too upset about the pan and cover. Paid $100 for the engine
Sold the Saginaw 3peed for $125.
Gave the Edelbrock intake to a student.
Came with a set of US made fined Edelbrock valve covers.

Honestly Andy , It will probably be Red oxide primer.... I still have my freshly painted 57 to button up and my off topic C10 is being painted now. I intend to beat the Tempest like a red headed step child anyhow:p

Hypertherm is a good brand, so it will be worth spending a bit to get the problem resolved!

I switched from doing body work and went back to the chassis as a bunch of parts came in. Getting close to having a roller.
