Is the pic of Johnny's car recent?
Rumored that the car went to Oz,
That Pro mod should be the
double railed car, with adjustment to
    to rails .The Last 33,
    I was @ Johnnys house
When Merc was finished, picking up hand me down parts, Checking out Merc , Later
I was inside car , The garage @ the main house, Johnny leaned in & asked if I would want & complete with one agreement that I would not run in Pro Mod class , To many irons in fire @ the time .
PS Glad to see car has not been destroyed /crashed and
    being preserved !!

  11. Brake bleeding revealed a previous mistake.
Remember my ginchy brake lines routed discreetly above the pedal bracket on the bare chassis?
    20200517_170429_3.jpg 20231117_214644.jpg

Once the floorboards were welded in place, those fittings became inaccessible. And of course, they dripped DOT3.
    20241125_145610~3.jpg

I reluctantly cut a small access hole in the floor to get a flare wrench on 'em.
    20241125_141020.jpg

But had to enlarge it... Three times.
    20250106_213912.jpg

Tightened 'em and finally got a hard pedal with no drips.

Now to hang and latch the doors.:)

  14. What's those Jim Crocche song lyrics "Isn't that the way they say it goes"

I've still got a drip out of my line lock on the Henry J under hard pressure, tightened it, loosened it, re-tightened it, took the adapter out and teflon taped it, damn thing is driving me crazy.

  15. Those little brake fluid drips are such a pain in the ass. I feel your pain, have been there to many times.

  21. I just saw the thread from page 1, 2, 3 to 4, then I skipped to the last one because I couldn't resist! But from page number 1 already knew this was an excellent project and very well done with the technique and details of a correct period also. Congrats... The “not-too-wild” phrase made my day...
