A.J. Foyt at Riverside in 1965 driving for Holman Moody. He later crashed this car going into Turn Nine after his brakes failed. He broke his back among other injuries but did manage to get back into racing within a couple of months. BTW, if you look closely at the photo you can see that Foyt isn't wearing his goggles and they are just hanging down around his neck. For some reason Foyt never liked to wear goggles and sometimes didn't use them even when was racing midgets and sprint cars. Here's a video clip of his Riverside crash.
