1960 Electric shopper Before/Afteranyone else have one or seen one?

I found a run down 1960 Electric Shopper originally produced in Long Beach California and decided to restore it to run my kid to school in our neighborhood and flex on all the golf cart dad's. I fell in love with this weird unique vehicle because of the fact it has alot of classic car inspiration with the fins and curves.

I stripped it down to the frame, sand blasted it and fully rebuilt it with modern upgrades. The original car would only go 10 mph, I have installed a 48v lithium ion batter, speed controller and new 48v motor. It now goes up to 40 mph which is extremely terrifying with 3 wheels. I have installed a stereo, redone all the chrome, sectioned and shaved a car bumper to fit the rear of the cart etc. It has a roof but I'm currently running it in a roadster style. It's about to go to upholserty but I thought I'd share and see if anyone else has one of these?

That’s way cool. If I had that in Palm Springs’ I could probably steal someone’s Trophy Wife out of his Ferrari golf cart. And having been around some 30mph carts with 4 wheels, just looking at the tiller terrifies me.

So far, your very cool "Electric Shopper" is the current (no pun intended) undisputed KING of the kick ass electric utility carts!
This particular gas powered cart (TIZ BAD) is an annual attendee at the CHRR at FAMOSO, its similar, but not as cool as your rig,

That’s a Taylor-Dunn electric golf cart circa about 1960.

I am sure you are correct about it being a Taylor -Dunn brand, but if you zoom in and look, it does have an exhaust pipe sticking out past the rear bumper!

 

That it does. But Taylor-Dunn did not make it that way. They only built electric vehicles. Mostly for warehouses, mill and stadium usage.

 

Again, you are very correct about the Taylor-Dunn production of electric carts and burden carriers, I have visited their website many times, because I own a Kalamazoo K-45 burden carrier which is supported by Taylor-Dunn.

As stated, the (Tiz Bad) vehicle, which was seen and heard by me at FAMOSO, belonged to a hot rod person, who obviously decided to modify it as you see it in the photos I posted!
