Rod St Race suggested i make a thread about my car.I found some build pics of it, hope ive picked the correct spot if not please correct I used marine plywood soaked in water sealant . Roth built the Druid Princess from plywood then, covered in 5 layers of fiberglass also (no kidding ) 14 gallons of Bondo course sanded down to as thin as could be made smooth some bare wood shots I had a Pontiac 350 from my old Firebird at the time wasn't much goodies to throw on it went to 454 tunnel ram , but settled on the 350 combo. May put the big boy back in ? Hope ya'll enjoy cause several times I almost trashed the entire thing
Thanks you! I dig seeing stuff getting built and I'm glad you documented it. As another fan of Ed Roth, I dig wild stuff. Most don't dare go that far, so it's great to see another one. As for the question of an engine swap, so long as it still puts a smile on your face when you take it out, that's all that matters. If you have gotten so used to it that it's boring, maybe it's time to put it into scared @#$%&^%$ mode.
That is pretty cool. I don't have the imagination to think that far out of the box. I can patch up anything metal, but I need to at least have a basic form to start from. I'm not the guy that is going to build anything out of wood, so when someone can build something from scratch with wood and steel, you have my attention.
Thanks , i never thought it would get done ,car never fought me i had a plan prices started sky rocketing.Gene Winfield saw pics of it and said promise me you''ll finish it that kicked me into overdrive
Mr Winfield's words of encouragement, and a person making a promise to him, would be a pretty powerful motivator to compel a person to finish the job. Things like motivating the new comers to finish a project are part of the reasons those guys are part of the hot rod history. Its not just because of what they did, but includes how they motivated others.
Woah, Woah, Wait a minute! How did I not see this earlier! Where's Moriarty? Dude! This thing is wild! Channeling Tom Daniel/Monogram! You are one glutton for punishment. I'm not seeing enough finished shots, I thought that single in "Show rods from the 70's" was a vintage shot. (Didn't notice that truck in the background.) We need more. Cool ride.
