Thanks SG, I like the Lutz black- painted Olds & the Pisano Camaro. Pictured at meet's end, I painted this in the stands at Graham Cowin's Nostalgia Funny 10 car show in 2013 at Adelaide International Raceway. Sold it to one of his crew.
Not the most photogenic car to ever hit the strip! I believe that is the original track at Mission British Columbia Canada.
I was looking at this photo and thought something about it looked familiar, had to look at my photos and realized that background is the same one of a car I owned that the original builder raced at this long closed track on Vancouver Island Canada called Van Isle.
Went to Blue Max racing in Texas yesterday in Wylie, TX since they built a trailer for me (technically my work). Anyway, sounds like the first funny car race for this year for him is coming up in Ennis, TX in a couple weeks. He was telling me the cost of some of the parts in that nitro motor. I thought y-blocks were expensive! I could probably build 3 y-blocks for what a crankshaft costs.
My high school street racing buddy in the 60's from Phoenix, still remain in touch today. He dropped out of high school, and did VERY well. Self-funded funny car...Also, a picture of his new 1968 Z28 with real deal hand polished magnesium Halibrands that we street raced back then. Still having fun.
